Download media and manage tasks

Save supported remote files to the device and review their progress in Downloads.

Availability and save locations depend on the client; TV behavior differs from mobile.

01Check the file and storage

Choose a file in its source, check its size and available device storage, and confirm download permission.

02Start and review the task

Start the download and open Downloads. After an interruption, check the existing task before retrying to avoid duplicate large downloads.

Download progress, task status, and local-file entry

03Check the saved file before cleanup

Open the completed file locally. Removing a task can also remove its file, so read the prompt. A task disappearing is not proof that the download succeeded.

Before you finish

  • Storage is sufficient
  • The task is complete
  • The local file opens
